Katherine came with me to the LYS in FL (more on that later), and I had her pick out some cotton yarn. I had already gotten some cute vintage needles at a thrift store, and told her I could teach her if she'd like. She took me up on that offer, and in a day had a washcloth.
She strategically placed eyelets (totally on purpose) into the washcloth for some added detail. She picked up on it so quickly, and even got the casting on and binding off bit.
It didn't pass the taste-test though. Who knows if she'll keep up with the knitting, but before we left Charlotte she had already cast on another washcloth...
It's over! 2 FO posts to come though. Isn't it funny how I'm 10 years older than Katherine and 8 older than Mark and I'm the shortest of the bunch? (and yes, Katherine and I did swap dresses from the top picture)
I got this crochet pattern on Etsy. It's a really easy pattern and took me the length of a movie to finish...I just wish it looked better on! I don't know if it's my yarn (it's cotton; i've used it before for hats), or if her photos were staged really well, but I'm not too sure if I'll wear it. I might try it again but I'd be using the same yarn so not sure if that's smart!
